Give the gift of luxury glamping in the Peak District this Christmas

Christmas at Scaldersitch Farm glamping

Scaldersitch Farm, one of the country’s original luxury glamping businesses, and one of the most sought-after boutique camping sites in the Peak District, has launched a gift voucher option just in time for Christmas.

Christmas shoppers can choose any monetary amount, which the recipient can use towards a luxurious glamping experience in one of Scaldersitch Farm’s five award-winning tipis or yurts, based just outside of Hartington village, in the beautiful Peak District countryside.

Each yurt and tipi has a Scandinavian hot tub, which is heated to the perfect temperature prior to arrival; a fridge that is stocked with premium breakfast produce; super king bed; private outside seating area; and beautiful finishing touches, such as soft furnishings, fairy lights, and homegrown, freshly picked flowers. There are also private washrooms, ensuring the experience is like a boutique hotel room, but set in the great outdoors.

Alongside the beautifully appointed accommodation, Scaldersitch Farm can create memorable experiences for guests that take stays up yet another notch. From on-site massages and beauty treatments by the fire to candle-lit dinners, private yoga classes and guided walking tours, the focus is on personalised luxury that meets the specific needs of each guest.

Catherine Hine, founder of Scaldersitch Farm, says:

“We launched the vouchers as increasing numbers of guests were asking for them and loved the idea of surprising someone with a luxurious stay. It’s a thoughtful gift that would work for an individual wanting to spend some time away from it all, a couple wanting a romantic break, or a family keen to explore the surrounding countryside.

“The wonderful thing about the yurts and tipis is that you can enjoy a memorable glamping experience at any time of year. Recipients could save their voucher for the warmer months, but winter is also a magical time to go glamping in the Peak District. We’re fortunate to have some fantastic festive events nearby, at Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, for example, countless walks through the beautiful countryside, and some of the best pubs, cafes, and tearooms in the country. Plus, the accommodation is the perfect cosy hideaway when it gets a little chilly. The wood burning stoves, wood fired hot tubs and luxury beds with featherdown duvets mean that guests can enjoy the ultimate comfortable, luxurious glamping experience whatever the season. It’s not like camping at all!”

Scaldersitch Farm was founded by Catherine and her husband, Ian in 2011 when glamping and boutique camping was still in its infancy. They started with Secret Cloud House Holidays, in the Staffordshire Moorlands, before adding the Scaldersitch Farm site in the Peak District in 2015.

Scaldersitch Farm is set in some of the Peak District’s most stunning countryside, with the wide open skies making it ideal for star-gazing and sunrise watching. It is surrounded by footpaths and cycle trails, and close to Hartington Village, famous for its cheese, and home to a range of shops, pubs and tea rooms. It is also convenient to numerous other Peak District attractions, such as the Tissington Trail, Dovedale stepping stones, Arbor Low, Buxton, and Bakewell.
